Even before there were written records, there have been talk of people with special abilities. Once there were written records it became clear that for normal humans, anyone who was different in the since of them having special powers were thought to be a being higher than humans, maybe gods. It maybe that some of these abnormals liked being revered as gods and played along. As time changed however, it would not be all right to show your powers to anyone in fear of being called a witch and burned at the stake. Then there was the time of nothing. Nothing was recorded about strange people. It wasn’t that abnormals died out but they simply got good at hiding. In the year 2004 however that all changed. An abnormal that was about late teens, early 20s changed all of that. It happened at a busy mall where he worked and there was a gang that kept bothering him. You know humans, calling people freaks to hurt their feelings and such. But it may be that this young man was a bit unstable, or did not know that he was an abnormal, or simply didn’t know how to control his powers very well. All the news report said was that half of the mall was taken out by an explosion and this boy was unharmed. He was taken into custody and hasn’t been heard from since. This paved the path for the countries to realize that there were others like that boy. There were strings of abnormals who were having trouble with their powers, none of them became out of controlled like that boy however. It turned into another kind of witch hunt as people were arrested for random things (whether they were really an abnormal or simply the victim of rumors is not yet known). Though it would be unlawful to burn them, they are just under lock and key.
